elements in progress

I have been working on this piece for months, and the pace has suited its intention.

A thick, dense book of poems, paper, and images rests on a soft bed

that is part of a structure reminiscent of a sarcophagus.

All the elements are lush and somber, and I do not yet know where they will lead.

soft, white, and bright

I am making something for Heidi, my son's daughter,

with the softest-ever wool spun by Amy at Red Purl.

A string of bright flags, called Little Flowers, rides along.

The pattern is simply K2, P1, K2, P1 -- and on and on.
